It is with regret...

...that I am leaving blogland for the time being. It seems my ex is stalking Mr Fuzzyfelt and myself to a greater extent than I thought. Now I don't mind anyone knowing what I'm doing or where I'm going, I have nothing to hide and I have done nothing wrong, nor do I intend to in the future. What I do mind is when people make it their business, or rather obsession to find out every detail of my life and then mistakenly believe this knowledge gives them some kind of power or control over me.

I will still be here, I will still be reading all your fantastic blogs but I'll be firmly in stealth mode. Thank you all for your lovely comments over the past few weeks, they really mean a lot.

I will leave you with a pic of me with my newest summer essential accessory

Bye for now! xx

Offspring no 1...

Here is my oldest offspring (dress, necklace, earrings and eyelashes courtesy of me)

She is working as a rep for Thomas Cook in Rhodes this summer. She was due to fly out just as the ash cloud hit so unfortunately her long journey to Gatwick airport was in vain and she travelled back home two days later after being accommodated at Thomas Cook's expense at the Hilton. Almost a week later she got the call to say the reps would be travelling by coach and ferry ALL THE WAY to Rhodes, a four day journey! Fortunately, on the morning she was due to go they rang and offered her a flight if she could get to the airport like NOW, I think she was one of the first flights out of Manchester and she was quite nervous. It all went without a hitch though and she arrived at her destination in time for something to eat and a little drink (possibly with not too much focus on the 'little' knowing Jazz) before bed.

If anyone would like to have a nosy at what she's up to you can find her here http://theblondejetsetter.blogspot.com/ although I'm not sure how often she'll be able to update, reps work loooooong hours and she might not have internet access at her accommodation.

Have a fantastic season Jazz!xx

Do you like my new shoes? You have no idea how amazing it feels to be able to buy size 9 shoes where normal people buy their shoes, also how amazing it feels to be paying New Look prices for those shoes. Just £7 in this case for the beautiful blue shoes of shiny blueness.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

A catch up in pictures

I got it into my head last week that I was going to make a 70s style maxi dress for a gig I was going to on Saturday. Unlike me I didn't procrastinate and had it made in plenty of time. The pictures make it look a bit lumpy and weird, well it is but not that bad!

The blue is some kind of chambray effect pintucked stretchy stuff of unknown fibre content that cost me £1 per metre and the BEAUTIFUL trim fabric was a vintage psychedelic pleated dress I got off Ebay for very little, I think it turned out really well.

The shoes I wore with it were bought from Ebay a few years ago and I've never known what to wear them with - until now.

A couple of recent purchases. Firstly another Chopstix Waits skirt, It is full length on me but looks shorter in the pic
And another necklace by Therealiolithie on Etsy, the girl is a beading genius
That's about it for now, I'll be back tomorrow I promise!

Let the (plastic) joy be unconfined.

Firstly apologies, life has got in the way big time lately, my head has been so full of other things that almost all internet related action has been underground, I like to hide sometimes.

I was tagged by the very glamorous Helga for the Plastic Joy Award, thank you!

The rules state that I have to name 5 or more characters from film or TV that I find enticing. It HAS to be the character rather than the actor/actress so with this in mind here's my 5 -

1) Adrian Mole

2) and 3) Sheldon and Leonard from Big Bang Theory

4) Ross from Friends (strictly on the understanding that it is the character rather than the actor)

5) Shaggy

What can I say? I like a good geek! You are not allowed to laugh, I realise my taste is somewhat unusual. This has taken a full week of deliberation, I don't watch much fictional TV and very few films so my choice was limited.

The bloggers I'm tagging are

Emma

Jazz

Vicki

Sharon

Char

Have a good weekend! x

Giveaway!

Today I had to get up at 1am to get the oldest offspring to the airport as she was flying to Majorca for her rep training, can't wait to find out where she's going to be working! Consequently my outfit was very much 'I got up at 1am' Here I am looking surprisingly perky

The huge flared jeans were from a charity shop and resized as they were a bit big, the necklace was from Etsy, can't remember the seller and the coat was the first one I made so it isn't perfect but I like the colours and as it is fairly thin acrylic it's ideal for the weather at the moment (as is the hood!). Forgive my hair, I forgot to take any product on holiday with me so it is hanging limply, man flu dictates that I don't actually care that much.

On to the giveaway. I bought this bag from a charity shop a few weeks ago, it is real leather and from ASOS. As far as I can tell it has never been used. The colours just aren't me however so I am passing it on to someone who will give it the love it deserves. As a little extra there is also a bar of the best soap in the world.

And here's me modelling them

It is open to anyone following my blog, just leave a comment on this post. You have until next Friday to enter and the winner will be selected using random.org.
